Filbo was so good. I loved how he was everywhere and so social and involved, and especially how you took his character development, both when he was helping others and when he started backsliding and despairing. Thanks for everything!

Heh, you know, while I was doing it I never thought I'd feel so bad about writing a character feeling goddamn awful, so if I managed to write it well anyway I'll consider it a minor victory, haha!

nick!!! i'm so glad to finally write with you again. thank you for going along with my terrible man and his terrible stream of consiousness, i hope he made a good first impression on filbo. through your writing, i really felt that you put a lot of thought into filbo's characterization, and it really did a lot to make him feel like a real, breathing grumpus. i really hope i get to write with you again in the future!

Heh, thanks a lot! Honestly I'm glad you enjoyed him, haha. When I saw you wrote BUGSNAX on all caps after the reserves list was posted I felt kind of nervous because oh no, someone is aware about the canon, what if I do badly, heh. But it ended going quite well! That you can say somehow I made him feel like a real, breathing grumpus is quite the compliment, I admit.

Nick, I could yell about Filbo all day. You did an incredible job with the friendly and outgoing sort who tries to look out for everyone - honestly, I would have assumed Filbo was your typical character type if I haven't known you for so long!! You managed to make it obvious what Filbo's strengths were (looking out for people and organizing them, doing his best to lift spirits when he could, etc) while also being very aware of his flaws. He definitely had his own weaknesses and moments where he needed to be reassured and comforted, but you struck the perfect balance with that and it never felt like he needed to be coddled. Filbo was absolutely fantastic from day 1 and I spent the entire game being terrified he'd die and how hard everyone left would riot. You did such a good job with him!! And that's not even mentioning our cr, which was also fantastic!! Filbo absolutely pushed a lot of Yeager's character development forward in fun and interesting ways I haven't gotten to play out before, so thank you for that as well!!

Social butterflies are a really tough character type, turns out. If this is anyone's typical character type I can only respect their drive, goodness gracious, the game ended yesterday and I still feel exhausted, haha.

I'm really glad you enjoyed Filbo. It was fun to thread with you, certainly. It's funny, like half of the characters in the game contributed to Filbo's character development, and of course Yeager is among them having been aggressively himself, hah! I'm glad we got to have this much CR, especially since it was so unexpected for both of us. To be honest, I came to this game expecting Filbo to really get along with a few people at most. Him befriending this many people was not something I saw coming even though I did know from the beginning he'd be talking to as many people as possible, hah!

nick, what you've managed to pull the last ~ten weeks is nothing short of incredible. i will never cease to be amazed how present you were the entire game, with nearly everyone, and not just like. casual small talk, either - that is no small feat, to be sure. JUST WANTED TO START WITH THAT.

filbo is an absolute joy and did not deserve literally anything that happened on that murderboat. his journey over the course of the trip was really interesting to see, with his crisis over being missing from his homeworld, and trying to keep the peace on the boat! it was absolutely amazing to watch him fight to survive on the boat as best as he could! i loved threading with him, i'm glad filbo and alice had a slightly positive relationship, even if it was only because she got a kick out of him most of the time.

i def want to thread with you again in the near future!!!!! we will meet again.... i swear this

GOD FILBO WAS SO GOOD, NICK. I actually loved our 8,000 threads and the roommate dynamic was really fun! I loved watching his arc and overall it was really great!
